Eye Care While Gaming
When you stare at a screen for hours, your eyes get tired and dry. The good news is that a few simple habits can protect them.
The 20-20-20 rule
Every 20 minutes, look at something about 20 feet away for 20 seconds. This gives your eye muscles a break.
Don't forget to blink
When gaming, we blink less without noticing and eyes dry out. Remember to blink more often.
Get the room lighting right
- Don't play in total darkness — screen glare strains your eyes.
- Don't crank screen brightness too high.
- Turn on Night mode or a blue-light filter on your phone at night.
Keep your distance
Don't hold your phone right up to your face. About an arm's length is good.
💡 If your head hurts or your eyes burn after gaming, you've played too long. Take a break.
Get enough sleep
Don't stay up late gaming every night. Lack of sleep hurts both your eyes and your focus in-game. A good gamer is a healthy person.
Take care of your eyes so you can enjoy your favorite games for years to come!
